Painted plates for all occassions.

I have had a full week off of work. Thank goodness, it was a much needed break from the insane-ness that we call movie making…. Well I have had time to let my creativity flow and my paint brush work its magic. I love a blank canvas, for my case a blank plain ole’ plate. I stare at it for minute and think of the color or shape or style. Then i start. I don’t have any pre-determined ideas before hand. I don’t sketch on paper what i want, i just look at the plate and whatever comes to me.. comes

I was a bit lazy about posting. Thats the truth, until a kind fellow blog reader emailed me and asked if I had drawn any plates recently. I think its been about 3 weeks since i posted. Well that was last night. First thing this morning i picked up my canon and took my plates outside and snapped away. I was SO pumped that there ARE devoted readers out there who do check back on my blog to see if anything new is going on.

Here is to you… you know who you are.

I not only do plates for my creative benefit, but I draw them for people, for special occasions, for birthdays and for weddings. I have requests every two weeks or so for a plate, usually wedding related, but its is hard for me to part with some.

I am drawing a plate for a person on facebook who saw my painted plate on my page. Updates to come sometime next week… with the finished product.
