Ceramic garden pieces

Here is another one of my pieces i made recently…

I like swirls and trills, they are such a simple way to embellish a piece.

This particular piece of marble is left over from my kitchen flooring (i could not throw it out), so i have been making garden pieces…

Look forward to seeing more… believe me there are many odd and end pieces

Thanksgiving weekend in Haliburton (hipsta-style)

Thanksgiving weekend marks our 2 years anniversary. I can’t believe we have been together for 2 long years. I am very happy, and I had a great fun weekend with Shawn. Since i was young we would go camping with YP (young people) my youth group at Algonquin park. I miss that every year. So this year i asked if we were both NOT busy if we could go camping.

Shawn planned this wonderful trip for us and to top it off, at work on Friday he won the $5 draw (you put $5 in and you can enter your name into the draw,…) the total amount collected was $405… whopee. so our trip plus all the smoked fish and meats we could carry was all covered. That makes me happy.. happier.

We left my house at around 5 am… eek. But we got there just in time for the sunrise, and it was spectacular :) I wish i could relive it again. It was so beautiful. im glad i stuck my hand out into the FREEZING Haliburton air.. and took these hipstamatic snaps :)

We stayed at a co-workers cottage and it was awesome. It had a great little dock that outlooked ducks and wildlife playing (and fishies jumping).

There as a campfire.. which inspired me to do some light graffiti shots (click under ‘light graffiti’ under photography). I lite up a fire for the first time.. and continued to burn random things. It was fun…

We hiked for a couple KM, went to a GREAT smoke house (Norm’s.. you have to go there), went to a pancake house and bought a lot of… not pancakes but syrup and jams. My favorite is Guava Syrup. YUM, and took many many ‘couple’ photos while hiking and at Ritchie falls.

More to come soon… after i have lunch and charge up my laptop.

BTW… i am NOT excited about coming back to life… it.. is a drag. ah

I wish i could jump into a teleportation device and relive Thanksgiving weekend…

Textures in Haliburton

Halliburton is a small town that is about 3 hours away from Toronto. It is filled with cottages and farmland.

I do love it here. Very relaxing. I would go back again to camp for thanksgiving weekends (when trees are no longer boring green but vibrant red and yellow)

Roll down your windows and breathe in the fresh country air, but be mindful there is a cow every block.. and it does smell like manure.

I have been caught off guard twice… and i breathed in half a pound of horse $hit.

On that stinky note.. enjoy the photos… and feel free to leave me a note or comment… I would love to hear what you think (i have no friends.. .any message would do… please)… :)

Weather knots..

Here are some pictures of weathered knots up in Halliburton. Found on some trees and the dock near the cottage i was staying at.  I usually do a big series of knots, or textures… but Haliburton is EYECANDY. So much to see. So much to take photos of. Its drugs for my brain…

STOP! (and enjoy the photos..)

Sightings after prep

First day of prep for the listener is DONE. finito

I took a subway ride home then went to square on to get my new iphone 4 looked at…

I have eucalyptus oil in my purse to sniff (yes i said sniff) when i get dizzy on the subway or bus.

It may have been because i was playing tiny towers  - my new addition other then purses and iphone cases.

My name in game center is ‘only1pumpkin’ – a nick name pumpkin is giving to me by my fiancee Shawn. We started dating around 2 years ago near halloween. Its a cute nick name

When i get off my bus from square one it takes about 15 minutes to walk home. It wasn’t too cool or hot that day, just perfect for a few hipstamatic moments.

Yeah its my weekend filled with relaxation, and cleaning kitchen in preparation for renovation. (that rhythms haha)

I am a poet.

It is the weekend.

I like candy.

Texture me this! -Numero uno

We see them everywhere… we ignore them. We are use to them.. they are textures. There is beauty in textures. So much varitey, range in colors, relief, TEXTURE.

I will do a series of textures when i feel my light bulb flash. Hipstamatic just brings out these textures. It is such a wonderful app, it vignettes the corners, it blooms the center, it makes the edges all raggedy.

I love it.

Next attempt… the time lapse app

Why knot?

My newest idea lightning strike.

Taking knots from wood.

There is so much character. It is something we all over look. I was snapping some photos this morning and i realized some knots look like faces, i love it.

I have chosen not to put chaobella.com watermarks on these photos.

I took these with an app called hipstamatic. I think if had time on my side i would take a photo everyday.

I find every photo taken this with app is amazing beautiful, though i am the photographer i am not the creator; and for that reason im not the artist, developers of hipstamatic are.

I will however continue to enjoy it as i love to do already.

We created a new term on set (at work), when something looks every high contrast, or strong in colors we would say “that very hipstamatic,” or “this scene is every hipstamatic”

I may make this into a series like my jelly lens series. Its a lot of fun and forces me to enjoy the things up close…. that sounds bad.. forces me.

Fun fun fun. Until next time…
